The Hump is a band that was started as a favor to a friend who didn't want to hire a lame band for his wedding. Against all better judgement we assembled a band of the most solid Funk/Soul/Jazz/R&B/Afrobeat musicians from New York, Maine and Vermont, old friends and members of Soulive, Akoya Afrobeat, The Pimps of Joytime, Jo Jo Kuo's Afrobeat Collective, Brooklyn Qawwli Party, The Inbetweens, Booty Juice, the Bad Mouth Band, Rustic Overtones, Inside Straight, and various other projects.
